As the Harpeth Hall Rowing season comes to a close, we are proud to share some highlights from an outstanding season.
Our Rowing Team competed in the Music City Head Race and The Chattanooga Head Race over the past two weekends. The Bears claimed the top spot at the Music City Head Race and continued to gain speed at the Head Race the following weekend.
Coach Emily Caflisch commented on the team success thus far, "I am impressed with both the progress and depth in the squad this Fall. We started with our home race, Music City Head Race at which Harpeth Hall claimed the top spot in the women's pairs and performed well in the eight and fours as well. A week later at the Chattanooga Head Race, I was excited to see the results reflect a gain of more speed with the varsity eight and the varsity four. The novice four also had a strong showing. Our women's quad also saw improvement from the first race to the second. Overall, a job well done!"
Senior rower Marguerite Trost reflects on the Music City Head Race. – "Nashville and Vanderbilt teams put in a lot of hard work to welcome crews from across the Southeast to our city and our water, arriving early and staying late all week to drop buoys, load trailers, and carry launches. For the Harpeth Hall girls, being a part of this community effort has been a parallel to rowing a boat: we're all pulling together to go farther than we go alone."
Congratulations on an incredible season. Go Bears!
