Grand Prize Winner, Maya Misra '18, to participate in International Fair
Harpeth Hall is pleased to announce that Maya Misra, Class of 2018, was named the Grand Prize Winner of the Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair (MTSEF) on Saturday, March 17 for her project, "Fusing the LRP6 and Frizzled Extracellular Domains as an Inhibitor of the Wnt Pathway". Misra has been invited to participate in the International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh in May.MTSEF is the premiere STEM competition for middle and high school students in Nashville-Davidson County and its surrounding counties (Williamson, Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner, Robertson, Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Stewart, Hickman, Lewis, Maury, Perry, Wayne, Trousdale, Bedford, Giles, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marshall, Moore). Projects are evaluated for awards in 22 scientific and engineering categories and for special awards funded by local, state, national, and international sponsors.
Overall Harpeth Hall student projects performed very well and placed in the below categories. The official Awards Ceremony will take place in April, and individually sponsored awards will be announced in April.
