On September 23, almost 100 students from Harpeth Hall and MBA dedicated their Saturday morning to completing improvement projects at Sylvan Park Paideia Design Center, which serves 457 students in grades K-4.
HON Day, Hands On Nashville's signature day of service, supports one of the city's most important resources: Metro Nashville Public Schools. This year, over 1000 volunteers served at 15 Metro schools across the city. Our student volunteers painted hallways, cleared school gardens, planted six trees, built a rain garden, and created a colorful mural for the school.
Since 2012, more than 20,000 HON Day volunteers have made an economic impact of more than $1.5 million for schools in our community. We are proud of our longstanding partnership with Hands On Nashville, and we thank our faculty and students for the dedication and enthusiasm they have shown on HON Day--this year and every year.
