Day of Giving Reaches New Record!

Day of Giving Reaches New Record!

Many thanks to our 2018 Day of Giving donors for contributing so generously and making an impact!

We are overjoyed with the response from the Harpeth Hall community to our fourth annual Day of Giving!

In 24 hours, 789 donors raised $165,901 and set a new Day of Giving record! Gifts were received from 26 states and Washington D.C. and five countries including Bermuda, Bulgaria, and India.

Of those 789 donors, 484 are Harpeth Hall alumnae. Every class between 1971 and 2017 had at least one donor represented. The Class of 2009 had the highest number of donors for the second year in a row, and our newest alumnae Class of 2017 had the second highest number of donors.

Throughout the day, we received four separate CHALLENGES to boost our Day of Giving momentum. An anonymous past parent donor pledged to take us to $100,000 once we raised $90,000. The same donor made another challenge gift of $10,000 along with an anonymous alumna who also made a $10,000 challenge gift to take us to $150,000.

In addition, the National Advisory Council inspired all Upper School student gifts with a dollar for dollar match for their gifts during the Day of Giving. The Senior Class of 2018, under the leadership of Margot May '18, had the highest number of donors in the Upper School. Margot and the LogosNow staff led an inspirational push on social media during the 18 days leading up to the Day of Giving. Overall, 142 students made gifts on the Day of Giving – another record!

The 2018 Day of Giving results represent a 23 percent increase over the amount raised during the 2017 Day of Giving and a 62 percent increase in the number of donors.

Many thanks to our 2018 Day of Giving donors for contributing so generously to Harpeth Hall

We are also grateful to 2017-18 Annual Fund Chairs Stephen and Mandy Haynes Young '85, to all our Day of Giving Champions, and to our wonderful Honeybear for their devotion to Harpeth Hall.
