Career Day Inspires Class of 2022

Career Day opened in the Richards Room where alumna Hays Brandon Estes, Harpeth Hall class of 2003, inspired the girls with her impressive career story. Estes has worked for The Coca-Cola Company, first at their headquarters in Atlanta and now in Nashville. She is a Senior Customer Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola working with a varied portfolio of food service customers. Fun fact, she was first hired as an intern for Coca-Cola by a Harpeth Hall alumna!

Three sessions followed with over 30 fascinating and accomplished alumnae returning to campus to spark future interests and to share with the 8th graders about their various careers in areas of Business/Finance/Entrepreneur, Design/Construction/Manufacturing, Education/Writing/Publishing, HealthCare, Law/Government, Public Relations/Media/Communications, Music/Arts/Entertainment, and Technology/Engineering/Research. Twenty-four 8th grade Grade Student Moderators greeted and introduced our guests. The moderators began each session by reading a Class Bio that was written by the 8th grade class. Click here to see a sample bio. Student moderators then kicked off conversation with this question: What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The last part of the day took place in the dining hall. The girls and alumnae engaged in table talks, enjoying Valentines cookies and lively conversation. The relaxed atmosphere created a perfect environment for our 8th graders to connect and learn from those who have walked in their shoes -a very powerful day with such thoughtful role models.
