Winterim

Winterim is a hallmark of Harpeth Hall’s innovative curriculum, providing students the very best in experiential learning and creating the chance to see their academic studies take a tangible, dynamic form.

For three weeks each January, students in 9th and 10th grades enroll in project-oriented courses on campus offered by our exceptional faculty and professionals from around the country. These select studies push beyond the bounds of the traditional curriculum and allow students to pursue personal interests and develop new skills.

Students in 11th and 12th grades forge their own paths by engaging in internships, academic travel, international exchanges, or independent study. Facing travel restrictions in the year of the pandemic, we reimagined the Upper School experience for Winterim 2021 to create new immersive learning opportunities for juniors and seniors that will take them throughout Nashville.

Since 1973, the unique Winterim curriculum has enabled students to develop wonder in learning, independence of thought, honor in action, and joy in community. Follow Winterim 2021.
