Athletic Hall of Fame Nomination

The Harpeth Hall/Ward-Belmont Athletic Hall of Fame honors notable alumnae athletes, coaches, and administrators. The Selection Committee will meet at least every two years and will have an induction process at least every four years. The Committee will consider current nominations and nominations through the past 5 nomination cycles.

 

Selection Criteria:

Each Alumnae Athlete inductee must have: Graduated at least 10 years prior to her nomination; demonstrated a consistent respect for and loyalty to Harpeth Hall and/or Ward-Belmont School and exhibited good sportsmanship, citizenship, and character; left a lasting impression of achievement and excellence on the Harpeth Hall/Ward-Belmont School athletic family.

She must also meet at least one of the three following criteria: Have displayed outstanding athletic ability and competed at the state level; have played on or coached a national or international team, on a national championship team in college, or represented a country in an Olympic sport; have exhibited extraordinary courage and perseverance in pursuit of a sport.

Each Coach or Administrator inductee need not be a Harpeth Hall or Ward-Belmont Alumna. He or she must have: Served a minimum of five years in his/her role as Harpeth Hall or Ward-Belmont coach or administrator and have completed his/her tenure for at least two years; demonstrated a consistent respect for and loyalty to Harpeth Hall and/or Ward-Belmont School and exhibited good sportsmanship, citizenship, and character; left a lasting impression of achievement and excellence on the Harpeth Hall/Ward-Belmont School athletic family; played a leadership role in helping girls achieve their personal best; had a significant impact on the School’s athletic program for the future.
