Let’s Play Sports Camp
Rising 1st – 8th grades
Week 1: June 1 – 4 (4 day camp)

In Let’s Play, campers will spend their days active. From sport-specific sessions such as softball and basketball, to fun games like dodgeball and octopus, girls will be learning athletic skills, competing in a fun environment, and staying active! Harpeth Hall coaches will lead the campers in an atmosphere that promotes self-esteem, confidence, and sportsmanship. Coaches will teach fundamentals for each sport and incorporate these skills into the games and activities throughout the week. Girls are grouped by age and will rotate through the various sports.

Red rover, red rover, can your daughter come over? Join Upper School science teacher Jennifer Perry as she takes the girls to a different park every day. In this mobile camp, the girls will visit a local park every morning and play games such as chalk art, tag, and various board games under the covered patio. Afterward they will enjoy a shaded picnic lunch. The afternoon will take place back at Harpeth Hall where we will enjoy a frosty snack, continue crafts and games, and experience different creation stations for a fun-filled day! Space is limited so register early!

Grab your passport and come along with Harpeth Hall World Languages teacher Katie King on a trip around the world! This camp will explore a variety of countries as the girls learn about celebrations that are special to individual cultures through art, music, games, and food. The girls will take field trips to local establishments for hands-on cultural experiences.

Attention all crafters: In this fun D-I-Y camp, girls who love to express themselves with one-of-a-kind masterpieces will indulge in a little bit of everything: tie-dye, bead making, watercolors, and more! Girls will find their inner artist and keep their creativity sharp this summer as they produce mementos to be treasured and enjoy many other fun activities.

Care Bears 
Rising 2nd – 6th grades

Spend a week of service, crafting and caring for others! Nothing brightens someone’s day quite like something handmade with love. During this exciting week, campers will learn about local non-profit agencies and craft something special that will benefit those whom the agencies serve.  Girls will have a great time making the world a brighter place! This camp is led by Harpeth Hall Middle School Public Purpose Coordinator Katie King.

Musical Theater Camp

Have you ever been nervous to join a musical? Ever wanted to belt out your favorite broadway show song on stage but did not feel equipped? Join teacher Chloe Madigan in this one-week camp to introduce and perfect your musical theater skills. Campers will be introduced to the various aspects of musical theater, including singing, choreography, acting, and backstage/technical work
 

Invent: Design Inspired by Nature STEM Camp
Rising 4th – 6th grades

Did you know that watching birds fly, sharks swim, fireflies glow, and spiders build webs has led to amazing discoveries that engineers use to make life better? Biomimicry studies the unique characteristics of animals and plants to learn how to create new or improved product designs. Each day campers will explore one example from nature and use that knowledge to inspire new ideas. We will use nature to inspire art, explore bioluminescence, design a better wing, and use chemistry to mix new adhesives and much more!  Camp taught by Kids Create Code instructor Sharon Mendonsa.

Mythical Creature Adventures
Rising 1st – 6th grades

Creative Journaling
Rising 2nd – 6th grades

What are you waiting for? Join the craze of journaling, calligraphy, and hand lettering. At the Creative Journaling camp, girls will perfect their own style of writing while creating a one- of- a- kind journal using specialty writing utensils. Let’s Play Sports Camp Junior
Rising Pre-k (must be 4 years old by 6/1/21) – 2nd grades

Coaches Liz Nelson and others will lead Let’s Play Sports camp for a younger group. This fun-filled week will be geared toward introducing girls to different sports and physical activities. Coaches will lead alternative wacky sports and games like scooter hockey, medic, and octopus. Friday will be a competitive Field Day. Let'sLe’ts Play Sports Junior is a great introduction to the world of sports and fun PE games to keep girls active all day long!

*Please note: campers must be at least 4 years old by June 1, 2021.

Mermaids, Mysteries, and More! 
Rising K - 2nd grade

Calling all little mermaids!  Come and let Harpeth Hall science teacher Jennifer Perry introduce your daughter to the wonders of water and the animals that call the sea home, while science department chair Legare Vest shares with your daughter about deep sea adventures and stories from below the sea.  Every day, the girls will make a craft and play games all while learning about different ocean animals and the mysteries behind mermaids.  This week will be filled with fun and by Friday your daughter will feel like a mermaid!  This class will combine science fun, crafts, and stories for an amazing under the sea adventure.  
 

Scratch Coding:  Techno Tales
Rising 3rd – 6th grades

Explore your creative side using art, writing, graphic design, and computer coding to tell unique stories that come to life using Scratch 3.0. Each day, girls will create the characters, settings, and action for a digital story starter or game story starter. World of Wizards
Rising 1st – 4th grades

Calling all wizard fans!  This is like no other camp you have experienced. Come along with Harpeth Hall teacher Martha Ross, and take a magical journey into the world of wizards.  We will design wands, make magic potions, go on a magical creature hunt, play Quidditch, and participate in activities that will astound all Muggles.

Tennis Junior
Rising 1st – 4th grades

Led by Varsity Tennis Coach Buffy Baker,this camp is designed to fit the needs of beginning to intermediate tennis players. Skills such as ground strokes, volleys, serving, and other fundamentals will be covered. Emphasis will be placed on learning the rules for singles and doubles as well as the opportunity to compete in both. Each session will split players based on skill and age level. If campers have their own rackets, please bring them. If campers need to borrow equipment, please let us knowkonw in advance, and we will provide it.

Tennis

This camp is led by Varsity Basketball coaches and players. Emphasis on skills, drills, and games. The fundamentals of shooting, passing, screening, movement, stance, positioning, and defense will be significant components of the camp. Focus will be placed on individual instruction for each player to develop her game. The skills and fundamentals the girls learn will be incorporated into games and various competitions throughout the week including all-camp competition day on Friday. The girls will be grouped by skill level, and some sessions will include position work.
 
Basketball
Rising 5th – 8th grades
Week 3: June 14 - 18

This camp is led by Varsity Basketball Head coaches and players. Emphasis will be placed on shooting and offensive moves. This camp will teach a variety of offensive moves and the proper mechanics of shooting by breaking down each step of the perfect shot. From shooting, shooting off the dribble, shooting off the pass, using a screen to get open, open court moves, use of a shot fake, and other offensive moves will be the focus of instruction.

World of Wizards
Rising 4th - 7th grade

Volleyball Clinic: Advanced Setting Camp
Grades: 9th-12th
Saturday, June 19 | 9 am - noon

Advanced Setting camp will prepare High School setters for their season and elevate their game. Players can expect over 500 setting repetitions, technique and footwork drills, and a "chalk talk" about strategy and offensive systems. Coach Asafo-Adjei was a setter on the 2012 National Championship volleyball team at The University of Texas and has been the Head Volleyball Coach at Harpeth Hall since 2018.

Princesses and Potions

Calling all princesses! Harpeth Hall Upper School teachers Lisa Keen and Jennifer Perry will open up the fantastic world of being a princess. Girls will explore the enchanted forest and the beautiful creatures that live there. This camp isn’t all sparkles and glitter — your daughter will also get to experience the magical side of chemistry with Upper School chemistry teacher Legare Vest.  The girls will leave this week appreciating the mystery of science. Crafts, interpretative play, and science experiments will empower your daughter to be a confident, curious, and courageous princess!
 

Budding Entrepreneurs
rising 2nd - 5th grade

If you like “Shark Tank,” this program is for you! Join other intrepid campers and learn what it takes to launch your own business. Campers build self-confidence while developing business skills in strategy, marketing and finance. Campers select a business
idea, learn to develop a business plan and make a pitch presentation on the last day. They even create a real website and design their own business cards!

Soccer Junior
Rising 1st – 4th grades

This camp is led by Harpeth Hall varsity soccer coaches. Foot skills such as first touch, dribbling, and passing will be highlighted at the beginning of each session and then reinforced in small-sided games. Offensive and defensive positioning are explained in a game experience. Shooting, passing and receiving, and defensive support drills work on the basic techniques of the game. These skills are rolled into fun, competitive games to master techniques under pressure.
 

Soccer
Rising 5th – 8th grades

Racket Sports
Rising 1st – 6th grades

Join Varsity Tennis Coach Buffy Baker for a week of racket sports fun! Take it one step further then tennis and also learn skills in badminton, ping pong, and pickleball. All racket sports have one thing in common, the racket! The skills used for each sport and game have completely different techniques that you can learn and perfect. This camp is open to any skill level.

Color Wheels: Creativity Camp
Rising 2nd – 5th grades

This camp is a little bit of everything awesome! Campers will explore a wide variety of art materials and techniques. Projects will include mixed media paintings, Model Magic sculpting, burlap printmaking, Kandinsky inspired pillow sewing, paper plate weaving, jewelry making, dream catcher creating and more! Arts, Athletics, and Academics
Rising 3rd – 8th grades

Come and learn what makes Harpeth Hall a special place for girls! This camp will show your daughter what Harpeth Hall does best: arts, academics, and athletics. The girls will practice yoga, write poetry, and learn new art skills. Divided into groups by age, the girls will rotate between classes. Lacrosse Junior

This camp is ideal for both the more advanced players and for beginners, as players will be divided into groups based on skill level. Players will focus on skill development, including stick work, ground balls, dodging, shooting, and defensive positioning. Fun games, drills, and scrimmages throughout the 4 day session.

Design The Runway
Rising 1st – 6th grades

Design your very own fashion line! Budding designers will keep a fashion portfolio, create a one-of-a-kind piece with recyclable goods, and end the week with a runway show to rival NYC Fashion Week! Mind - Body - Art Yoga Camp
rising 3rd - 6th grade

Yoga meets Art in this creative week where we combine drawing, coloring, and collaging with yoga and mindfulness. Each day, we will move and breathe through yoga poses, flows, and plenty of fun games! We'll also work on art projects that incorporate patterns, mandalas, and zentangles, allowing the mind to calm and focus. You will leave this week feeling more balanced, with plenty of tools to create your own fun art projects at home!

This camp is run by Habitat Yoga.

Super Sleuths
Rising 3rd – 6th grades

Get out your magnifying glasses and detective hat — we have clues to decipher and crimes to solve! At the Super Sleuths camp, girls put their critical thinking skills and STEM knowledge to the test and get to the bottom of mysteries by learning the tricks real investigators use to solve cases. While experimenting with simple detection techniques, your daughter’s reasoning skills will grow and her problem solving skills will grow like a CSI agent. This camp is led by Little Scholars.

PE Games

Little Girls Camp: Safari Adventure

Indoor Soccer and Gym Games
Rising 1st - 8th grade

Geared toward the beginner to intermediate players in rising 1st - 8th grade looking to improve their skills and knowledge of the game.  Indoor Soccer Camp will focus on individual skills and the proper techniques in dribbling, passing, and receiving.  Campers will also have the chance to escape the heat and learn new indoor gym games such as "pinball" and "steal the bacon" that will improve camper's agility and coordination skills away from the soccer ball.  

Golf Camp: Developmental
Rising 2nd – 5th grades

Led by U.S. Kids Certified Instructor and Varsity Head Golf Coach Kylene Lee, girls will learn the fundamentals of the swing, chipping, and putting in this developmental camp for rising 2nd - 5th graders. Campers will stay on Harpeth Hall’s campus for the entire week utilizing our grass space.
 

Color Wheels: Rainbows and Unicorns
Rising 2nd – 5th graders

If rainbow is your favorite color then this camp is for you! We will paint, draw, and sculpt to create vibrant rainbow art. Projects will include painted unicorns and “panda-corns,” collaged rainbows, rainbow ice cream sculptures, and much more. Artists such as Lisa Frank, Erté, Kandinsky, George Rodrigue, and Melissa McKinnon will inspire our rainbow-tastic projects.

Volleyball Junior

Little Girls’ Camp: Frozen Wonderland

Join us in a Frozen Wonderland as we spend a week getting out of the heat and into the cold.  You can Let It Go while your daughter plays away in all things silver, blue, and sparkly doing arts, crafts, and science. Girls will sing, dance, and make new friends in this icy adventure. Girls will have fun making crafts and making friends.  At the end of the week, a final magical magical performance will be live streamed for family and friends to see!

Future Female CEOs

How cool would it be for you to be the boss at Apple or Instagram for a day? In this leadership program, you can! Students act as CEOs for leading companies and work in groups to make strategic recommendations to address real business issues. Case studies include popular companies (such as Apple, Tik Tok, Facebook/Instagram or Netflix) and examine the role of female and minority CEOs. Students enhance their problem-solving skills, develop business savvy and cultivate a strategic mindset as future leaders. 

Out of this World
Rising 1st – 3rd grades

5... 4... 3... 2... 1... blast off to a galaxy far, far away to learn about Earth and the amazing solar system. Discover all things galactic such as comets, planets, shooting stars, rockets, and more. At the Out of this World camp girls will learn about flight, explore the adventures of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch! This camp is led by Little Scholars.

Builders
Rising 1st – 6th grades

Calling all inventors, creators, builders, and designers! Come build some awesome creations with us! The Builders camp will create its own designs and make structures using recyclable materials, building blocks, and many other interesting items. Skills necessary:none! Track & Field Camp
Rising 3rd – 8th grades
Week 8: July 19 - 23

Led by Harpeth Hall Varsity Track Coach Jim Romero,this camp will focus on teaching the fundamentals of track and field. An introduction to events such as the shot put, high jump, long jump, sprints, relays, and hurdles will be presented in a manner designed to be fun and entertaining. The girls will also learn about general conditioning that will help them in all sports and the basic importance of good nutrition. The camp will conclude with a mini track meet on Friday with all of the girls divided into teams so they can participate in their favorite events.

Softball
Rising 3rd – 8th grades
Week 8: July 19 - 23

$165This camp is led by Harpeth Hall Varsity Head Softball Coach Anne Marie Helm. The camp is designed for players of all levels and athletic backgrounds.  We will work on softball fundamentals including throwing, hitting, base running, infield, outfield, pitching, and catching, as well as communication and teamwork. The girls will be grouped according to age and ability, and will play friendly games against one another. Campers should bring a glove, facemask, helmet and bat if they own them. We will provide equipment for those who need to borrow it!

PE Games
Rising 1st - 8th grade

MS Dance Intensive
Rising 5th – 10th grades

This camp is for the dancer with previous experience. Dancers will work in various genres including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre. They will focus on using various techniques to create individual and group combinations using repertoire from the genres! This camp is led by Harpeth Hall Dance Director Stephanie Hamilton.
 

Yoga and the Galaxy
Rising K - 4 grade

Get ready to shoot for the moon with this galactical yoga adventure! Each day, we'll combine science, movement, and crafts to discover the wonders of the solar system and the galaxy beyond. With glow in the dark yoga flows, zero gravity poses, and astronaut-worthy games, we'll be ready to blast off into space!  This camp is run by Habitat Yoga.
