The Harpeth Hall Robotics Team is not a competitive team as much as it is a friendly collaboration. We hope to empower girls who are interested in pursuing STEM careers

Robotics Team Mission Statement  - by Caroline Spindel '19
The Harpeth Hall Robotics Team is not a competitive team as much as it is a friendly collaboration. We strive to create a place where girls can work on the school robots for competitions and for the community. We want to to teach, learn, and have fun. With projects like Kit-tronics, we hope to inspire our classmates to join Robotics Club if they're interested. Overall, we hope to empower girls who are interested in pursuing STEM careers.

The team participated in the FIRST Tech Challenge in January 2015 and February 2018. In 2016 we missed the competition because of snow!  In 2017 we paused on competition in order to focus on robotics outreach at Harpeth Hall. That year we held Kit-tronics (Engineering Kit Building) sessions on campus.

The Music City BEST robotics competition at Lipscomb University in October 2018 was a day of trials and a test of resilience. But on the final run, the robot cooperated. The arena erupted with cheers and our girls were thrilled! It was a good example of grit and practice in using the YET mentality.

Harpeth Hall plans to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge in February 2019. Check back for more information!
