Today was our last day on the California Life Winterim trip. We started off our day at the Farmers Marketplace. We had a few hours of free time there to shop, get some lunch, and explore all of the different cuisines that it had to offer. I spent some time in a cafe called Sidecar Donuts and Coffee where they make homemade donuts. It reminded me of Nashville’s Five Daughters Bakery!
After filling up on donuts, we headed to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. We had some more free time to explore all of the different exhibits. Some of my personal favorites were the Modern Art exhibit and the Black American Portraits exhibit. I loved getting to spend a lot of time here. I also got to see some of Picasso’s works!
After the museum, we went to the Santa Monica Pier. It was not exactly what I had imagined it would be like, but I really enjoyed getting to see it. We had some more free time there, so I spent some of it walking down the pier and looking in all of the shops. After a while, I went back up the pier to go into the shops on Broadway.
When free time was over, we went to a delicious dinner at the Six Chow House. I loved the restaurant environment and had the best last night with all of my friends. I will never forget the memories I have made and the friendships that I have strengthened on this trip. Our dinner was the perfect ending to a perfect day and also a perfect trip.
