Miami!

Hello everyone! We are having so much fun in Miami on our second day. In the morning we had an awesome cultural dance class (led by Marisol Blanco) and learned about the rich Cuban culture and religion of many Miami residents. She relayed messages of woman empowerment and helped us find our own inner warriors. It truly was an amazing experience.

One of our favorite activities was exploring beautiful Little Havana and participating in a poetry workshop led by leaders from O, Miami a local organization that provides a platform for the creation and expression of poetry in Miami. We wrote poems using our senses to deepen our understanding of the space around us.

We are off to a great start and can’t wait for tomorrow!
