For my Global Scholars Capstone Project, I studied the evolution of beauty and makeup, and have also researched the different beauty standards in different ethnic groups of the world. I learned about the origin of makeup, how historical figures influenced the beauty standard of the time, and the influence of beauty on communities. After researching all about the origin and evolution of beauty I have concluded that beauty standards are a repeating cycle that either come in or die out after every decade. I have also concluded that there is not one universal standard of beauty, each region and ethnic group has their own idea of beauty that they believe is ideal.
