Why Kids Should Travel: An Interactive Planning Activity and Trip Guide
Elizabeth Read

Annabel Farringer '27

I researched the benefits of traveling for kids. I began my project by exploring the basics of traveling with kids, common obstacles, potential benefits, and places that would be of high interest for children to visit. I applied my research by designing an interactive planning tool that families can use to prepare children to travel and a trip guide to Italy for families with kids. The interactive planning tool has fun, engaging tasks to prepare kids for the logistics of traveling, help them have ownership in the itinerary, and maximize the experience for them. The trip guide has many ideas for food, sightseeing, housing, and transportation that will ensure kids get all the benefits of traveling.
