For my SEEK project I chose the topic of dance choreography, specifically combining two completely different styles of dance, ballet and hip hop. My goal was to learn how to create a dance that I could teach to others. I researched methods of choreography, dance history, and the differences and similarities between ballet and hip hop. My product was a choreographed dance with components of both ballet and hip hop. After I completed the choreography, I organized rehearsal times and taught my dance to student volunteers. I asked for feedback from other choreographers such as Ms. Diana LeMense. And filmed the final version of the dance.
