Artificial Intelligence: Programming Tic-Tac-Toe Using Python
Elizabeth Read

Piper Thompson '27

I researched artificial intelligence and how to code using python. While researching AI, I learned the categories, examples, and advantages and disadvantages of AI. In addition to formal research, I learned the coding language Python by independently working through the Upper School Introduction to Computer Science curriculum. Containing around 500 lines of code, my final product was a program that can play tic tac toe against a human opponent by blocking the human’s twos in a row and prioritizing moves that will increase the computer’s chance of winning. During SEEK, I built on my ability to persevere through challenges when debugging my code, and I also improved upon my time management skills.
