I researched the benefits of swimming for people with special needs. I also researched the importance of knowing how to swim and common obstacles people face when learning to swim. For my product, I wanted to spread awareness about the benefits of swimming for people with special needs and propose a partnership between Harpeth Hall and the Nashville Dolphins. The Nashville Dolphins is a local non-profit that provides free swim lessons and a swim team for individuals of all ages with special needs. I felt like it would be a perfect organization for Harpeth Hall swimmers to partner with. To achieve my goal, I made an action plan with key engagement points in order to build the partnership. My action plan includes a presentation to the Middle School swim and dive team to connect them with volunteer opportunities at Nashville Dolphins, a Care Bears activity proposal to make cheer posters for an upcoming Nashville Dolphins swim event, and a formal partnership proposal between Harpeth Hall and the Nashville Dolphins.
