Get Your Head in the Clouds! An Interactive Lesson for Upper Elementary Students

I have always been fascinated by the weather. For my SEEK project, I wanted to focus on weather. So, I researched the formation and identification of the different types of clouds and the effect of altitude and temperature on cloud formation and appearance. To understand clouds even better, I researched other factors, such as atmospheric pressure and precipitation. With this information, I was able to create my final product which is an engaging, hands-on lesson about cloud types for upper elementary students. My goal was to help students learn about clouds through interactive projects and activities. My lesson includes an instructional, interactive slideshow for teachers to use with a class or for students to use independently, or even remotely. The lesson takes approximately 25-30 minutes and includes cloud guessing games, a fill-in-the-blank cloud chart, and a cloud-making project with cotton balls.
