I researched the elements and benefits of green roofs. My goal was to design and propose green roofs in my community. To do this, I explored how green roofs are built as well as the positive effects they have on the environment. I also learned about online design and used this knowledge to create a digital 3D green roof model. For my final product, I connected my research and my model to create a proposal to install a green roof above the Harpeth Hall dining hall, which would provide extra eating space and educational opportunities. Throughout the process of creating my SEEK project, I deepened my knowledge of environmental issues and their possible solutions while also learning the value of innovation and utilizing new technology.
