I researched the physical and mental health benefits of swimming. I focused my research on the different benefits gained through competitive swimming, swimming for fun, and swimming for rehabilitation. I learned how competitive swimming helps with goal setting, swimming for fun is a great mental reset, and rehabilitation swimming can help with injury recovery. For my final product, I made an informative and persuasive video on the different kinds of swimming and their benefits. My video includes interviews with Olympic swimmers and current Harpeth Hall swimmers. The video’s purpose is to teach middle school students about swimming and to persuade viewers to start swimming so they can experience the benefits themselves. Through the SEEK process, I learned more about the benefits of my favorite sport, while also expanding my time management and organization skills.
