AI at Work: Exploring the Future Landscape of Employment
Elizabeth Read

Elise Amara '28

I created a documentary about the potential impact of Artificial Intelligence in different job fields. My goal was to educate students about the likely presence of AI in their future professions. In order to accomplish this, I explored the publics’ opinion of AI, and the role AI plays in specific professions, including its potential challenges. In addition, I conducted research on how to make an informative documentary. For my final product, I interviewed a golf coach, an actor, a doctor, and a teacher, to get their perspectives of AI in their fields. As I made my documentary, I learned that AI has both advantages and disadvantages. AI can be utilized to increase efficiency, limit human-made errors, and provide more advanced technology, but it may also replace jobs and can be costly. Through SEEK, I deepened my knowledge of artificial intelligence, developed skills of filmmaking, and learned how to conduct interviews.
