Middle School Math Teacher

The Harpeth Hall School seeks a full-time middle school math teacher.  This position will involve teaching 5th and/or 6th grade students; the ideal candidate has  experience teaching these grade levels and/or upper elementary students. 

We are looking for a teacher who demonstrates excellence in the classroom, encourages students to stretch their minds and expand their sense of self and enjoys working collaboratively with an engaged group of colleagues.

Our middle school team is seeking an innovative teacher who understands the best possible way to engage and inspire middle-school-age girls. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, colleagues, and families, both orally and in writing, is essential. Professionalism, a positive outlook, a good sense of humor, and a student-centered approach to middle school teaching are also highly valued. 

A bachelor’s degree is required. Experience in curriculum development, full-time teaching experience, and a master’s degree are preferred. Comfort and familiarity with the use of relevant technology to enhance learning are also essential.
