Middle and Upper School Artistic Director of Dance

Position available 2023-24 school year

Harpeth Hall seeks an innovative, creative, and collaborative educator as its next dance teacher and artistic director of the Dance Company. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with a genuine appreciation and respect for girls and young women, with enthusiasm for all aspects of school life. Harpeth Hall is committed to an inclusive program, and candidates with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion work are encouraged to apply. Additionally, the candidate will be an experienced educator with a vision for dance concerts and performances and experience building a curriculum.

The dance teacher will support and promote a strong dance program within a robust academic and after-school program. An ability to promote and implement best practices in dance education for grades 5-12, teach middle school and high school girls, and collaborate with all areas of the performing arts program is essential.

To fully realize that mission, Harpeth Hall is committed to creating an environment in which every member of its community feels seen, heard, and valued. A bachelor’s degree is required. Full-time teaching experience and a master’s degree are preferred.
