Recent Harpeth Hall graduate Kiya Lacey will debut her self-titled CD, Kiya Lacey, at 3rd and Lindsey on July 2. Joining Lacey on stage will be some of Nashville's finest players, including former Bob Dylan sideman John Jackson, bassist Bones Hillman (Midnight Oil), keyboard player Mark T. Jordan (Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt, and Larry Carlton), and drummer Vince Santoro (Rodney Crowell, Mary Chapin Carpenter).

  | 2013 Graduates Ready For Next Chapter
Curious, disciplined, dedicated, ebullient, fun to teach, honorable, respectful, big-hearted, and generous, incredibly talented yet modest in your extraordinary achievements, are just a few of the words the faculty has used to describe the ninety-seven young women of the Class of 2013 who processed down Souby lawn on May 27th for the 62th Commencement ceremony on the Harpeth Hall campus. “Students, faculty, and trustees of Harpeth Hall, your parents, family, and friends have gathered here this evening to celebrate with you your time at Harpeth Hall and to cheer you on as you make the transformation from student at Harpeth Hall to alumna of Harpeth Hall,” said Head of School Ann Teaff in her opening commencement remarks.

  | Honor Day Celebrates 8th Graders
“Spring” from The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, performed by the Seventh Grade Orchestra, opened the 44th Annual Honor Day Ceremony on May 27th in the Frances Bond Davis Theatre. Graduating from the Daugh W. Smith Middle School is a milestone that Harpeth Hall recognizes with its Honor Day ceremony.

  | Whimsical Summer Art Exhibit Opens
The Marnie Sheridan Gallery on the campus of The Harpeth Hall School is pleased to announce its summer art exhibit of three Nashville painters. Each artist uses oil paints and deft craftsmanship to evoke mystery, humor, and humanity in these intimate and sumptuous paintings.

  | New Varsity Basketball Coach Named The Harpeth Hall School is thrilled to announce that Anne Weingartner has been named the new varsity head basketball coach. Coach Weingartner has been the assistant varsity and head JV basketball coach for the past five years. She also served as the head middle school basketball coach for the 2011-2012 season and lead the team to the HVAC championship.

  | SEEK Fellows Honored The Reverend Lissa Smith ’91 presented medals to 15 SEEK Fellows at an all-school assembly on April 23. SEEK stands for Scholars Engaged In Extending Knowledge and was established to provide a student enrolled in the seventh or eighth grade at Harpeth Hall with a means to pursue independent study in an area of her choice. It is designed to encourage a student to expand her learning beyond the standard curriculum with the aid of an in-school and/or out-of-school mentor.
