Whimsical Summer Art Exhibit Opens
The Marnie Sheridan Gallery on the campus of The Harpeth Hall School is pleased to announce its summer art exhibit of three Nashville painters. Each artist uses oil paints and deft craftsmanship to evoke mystery, humor, and humanity in these intimate and sumptuous paintings.
2013 Center for Innovative Educators Workshops
Registration is open for the 2013 Center for Innovative Educators' workshops.
The mission of the Harpeth Hall Center for Innovative Educators is to inspire teachers to develop new, creative practices; to build a network of learning professionals; to support teacher growth through innovation; to strengthen the art and craft of teaching; and to prepare students for living and working in the 21st century.

New Varsity Basketball Coach Named
The Harpeth Hall School is thrilled to announce that Anne Weingartner has been named the new varsity head basketball coach. Coach Weingartner has been the assistant varsity and head JV basketball coach for the past five years. She also served as the head middle school basketball coach for the 2011-2012 season and lead the team to the HVAC championship.
SEEK Fellows Honored
The Reverend Lissa Smith ’91 presented medals to 15 SEEK Fellows at an all-school assembly on April 23. SEEK stands for Scholars Engaged In Extending Knowledge and was established to provide a student enrolled in the seventh or eighth grade at Harpeth Hall with a means to pursue independent study in an area of her choice. It is designed to encourage a student to expand her learning beyond the standard curriculum with the aid of an in-school and/or out-of-school mentor.
Honoring Sprit of Service Recipient Adelaide Davis
Ward-Belmont alumna Sarah Adelaide Shull Davis, known as “Adelaide” to her family and friends, is the 2013 Spirit of Service Award recipient and was honored at an all-school assembly on April 19.
Upper School Art, Photo and Advanced Placement Studio Art Exhibits
The Harpeth Hall Visual Arts Department is exhibiting the works of Upper School students in both the Patton Visual Arts Center and the Marnie Sheridan Gallery.
Assembly Honoring Faculty and Staff
One of the most inspiring annual assemblies is the Assembly Honoring Faculty, which was held Thursday, April 11. Students gathered in the Frances Bond Davis Theatre to celebrate faculty and staff members who have retired, are marking anniversaries for years of service and who received honors for “excellence in teaching.”
HH Teacher Named Distinguished STEM Educator
The Triangle Coalition for Science and Technology Education announced 27 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) educators who have been selected for the 2013-2014 Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Program.
