 | We are delighted that you are interested in the Harpeth Hall School, the only independent college preparatory school for girls in Middle Tennessee. With a 147-year history of educating young women, we offer a unique educational environment. A girls' school is not about the absence of boys, but rather the presence of girls. We know that girls thrive when their learning takes center stage.
Beginning in grade five, our girls are free to be themselves. In a single gender setting, they ask different questions, seek alternative models, thrive in team settings, and exhibit independent thought and action. At Harpeth Hall, there exists a love of learning and a joy in learning. Single gender education fosters independence and self confidence, and our daily experiences with the girls confirm what the research shows. We encourage entry at the Middle School level as these girls are the best prepared for our upper school program which then sends girls on to a wide variety of prestigious colleges and universities.
Those of us in the Harpeth Hall Office of Admission are eager to work with you. We invite you and your daughter to visit our campus. By meeting Harpeth Hall students, faculty, administrators, and current parents, you will begin to understand our mission to teach girls "to think critically, to lead confidently and to live honorably."
Come see us!
