JESS HILL - Upper School Director
Jess Hill began her tenure at Harpeth Hall as a math teacher from 1985 to 1988. She returned to Harpeth Hall as a math teacher in 1998 and taught Algebra II and Precalculus for seven years. Mrs. Hill was named the Upper School Director in 2005 and has served in this capacity for 12 years. Her mentorship of faculty and staff and her ability to parse a complex problem and suggest an elegant solution are among her most admired traits. Mrs. Hill models kindness, optimism, and integrity at all times. She is the mother of two Harpeth Hall alumnae – Becca, Class of 2007, and Noni, Class of 2012 - and of one son Morey, an alumnus of Montgomery Bell Academy. We thank Mrs. Hill for leading the upper school students and faculty so ably and confidently, for living honorably, and for her commitment to the highest academic standards during her 22 years at Harpeth Hall.

ANNE KING - Director of Finance and Operations
Joining the business office in 1990 as Associate Business Manager, Anne King has participated in the transformation of the Harpeth Hall campus, the growth in the endowment, and the building of our firm fiscal foundation. Promoted to Director of Finance and Operations in 2005, Mrs. King has implemented best practices over the years ensuring the school's financial sustainability. During Mrs. King's tenure, the Harpeth Hall campus has expanded from 26 acres to nearly 44 acres, our endowment has increased from $1.8 million to $41 million, and our operating budget has grown from $2.4 million in 1990 to $19.5 million in 2017. Mrs. King also helped the school implement our technology initiative from its earliest days. She is a mother to an alumna daughter Lindsey King Martin '95 and a son Justin, an alumnus of Father Ryan. As she retires following her 27 years at Harpeth Hall, we salute Mrs. King and thank her for always standing firm on what is in the best interest of our school and our students.

MARGIE MARTIN - Souby Hall Receptionist
It is hard to imagine Souby Hall without the warm and welcoming smile of Margie Martin. A member of the Class of 1967, this greatly loved alumna has been our receptionist and the first impression of Harpeth Hall for all Souby visitors for 26 years. She knows our alumnae, she knows our families, and she knows and loves our girls and faculty. Mrs. Martin possesses the gift of making each person with whom she comes into contact feel as though they are the most important person she will talk with that day. She has been our best ambassador and a great source of support for three heads of school – Leah Rhys, Ann Teaff, and Stephanie Balmer. Mrs. Martin is the mother of two alumna daughters – Margo Martin Cloniger '99 and Helen Martin Nonn '01. She also has two sons, Kirke, an alumnus of Cranbrook Schools in Michigan, and Edward, an alumnus of Montgomery Bell Academy. We are grateful to Mrs. Martin for her devotion to her alma mater and congratulate her on her retirement.
