Think critically

At Harpeth Hall, girls are our singular focus. We know how they learn best and provide an environment where girls in grades 5 through 12 are embraced for who they are and encouraged in their intellectual curiosity.

"What I like most about Harpeth Hall is that it's an all-girls' school, but it's also an all-girls' community. We are taught to work hard at Harpeth Hall during classes and also when we are relating to each other."

Live honorably

At Harpeth Hall, our school community is built around a sense of place, a shared purpose, a feeling of belonging, and the strength of our connections to each other and the world.

Global Perspectives

Harpeth Hall educates young women to think beyond familiar boundaries by exploring diverse cultures, communities, and perspectives. Through our global education program, students identify global challenges, investigate solutions, and collaborate with others to transform knowledge into action and develop the skills to succeed in the 21st-century global environment.

Public Purpose

Service is a critical component of the Harpeth Hall mission. Public Purpose at Harpeth Hall prepares students in and out of the classroom to think critically about local and global issues and inequities. The program is designed to help students in 5th through 12th grades acquire the skills and knowledge required to meaningfully and ethically engage with large-scale problems and actively effect change.

Center for Civic Engagement

The Harpeth Hall Center for Civic Engagement empowers young women to become involved and informed citizens, and to appreciate – through action and reflection – what is required for civil societies to thrive. Central to this work is a commitment to support the Harpeth Hall mission of developing responsible leaders who make meaningful contributions to their communities and the world.

Life Balance

Middle school and high school are marked with big transitions and new experiences. This time in a student’s life also holds great potential for personal growth and self-actualization. Harpeth Hall’s life balance curriculum provides an opportunity for students to focus on wellness by exploring the mind-body connection, purpose, movement, nutrition, confidence, relationships, and emotional intelligence.

Leadership and Confidence

The words “lead confidently” in our mission guide us to create intentional opportunities for development far beyond being captain of a team, the star role in a play, or a club officer. At Harpeth Hall, each student develops the confidence to lead in her own way. She is aware of the value of every individual and embraces her responsibility to shape the community for the better.
